A Honda Civic coil spring front
suspension, fitted with performance HYPER-FLEX. |
| I was under the Suburban doing a routine
"wonder lubing" of the rubber bushings. Looking around, I noticed all the
hard-worked and oil-soaked rubber parts were cracked or breaking down; most notable were
the End Links and Sway Bar Bushings and
the fluid soaked Transmission Mount. This lube job just wasn't working.
Time for some help from Energy Suspension. Read this excerpt from ESC's website while I do
some measuring: |

ANTI-SWAY BAR
END LINKS AND BUSHINGS

DURABILITY
THE PROBLEM!
Rubber
is susceptible to the elements found in normal, everyday use: oil, accidental fluid
spills, road salts, ultraviolet rays
and dry rot. During a vehicle's normal use, it is virtually impossible to avoid
some or all of these damaging elements. Additionally, the dynamic torque forces rubber has
to deal with during a suspension's operation/travel are often too demanding to be
considered as reliable a material as our HYPER-FLEXTM polyurethane. Even brand new rubber bushings are
susceptible to breaking down from normal everyday suspension torque forces, never mind
during demanding high-performance usage! |
 |
THE CURE! Energy Suspension HYPER-FLEXTM
polyurethane is not susceptible to most of the elements that destroy rubber! Leaking
vehicle chemicals and accidental fluid spills can have little or no effect on HYPER-FLEXTM. In addition, HYPER-FLEXTM
polyurethane will retain its like-new shape and firmness much longer than rubber,
keeping the suspension in a tighter, like-new condition for up to 4 times
longer. HYPER-FLEXTM polyurethane
can resist the dynamic torque-like twisting and turning forces of suspension components as
they go through their normal operation/travel movements. We call it THE CURE!!! |
Replacing the anti-sway bar bushings and end-links is a piece of cake. The trans
mount takes a little more maneuvering.
Check out these greaseable Sway Bar Bushings.

Having a grease zerk gives the bushing set the internal lube it needs to fight
binding. Energy Suspension makes these specifically for my truck and
several others. They also have a full line of universal greaseable
sway bar bushing sets. Just measure the bar diameter; we can fix you up.After measuring the end link sleeve length I got the complete
hardware and bushing kit, didnt have to use the old hardware. |

The Polyurethane transmission mounts have all the factory spec. hardware molded in
or included. Both engine and transmission rubber mounts should always be suspect
for damage from improved drivetrain torque, fluid contamination and heat. By
using the Energy Suspension polyurethane components fleet, race and
off-road users of the product have greatly increased longevity. |

After replacing the sway bar parts Im assured hard cornering improvements.
More notable will be the performance consistency Energy Suspension
sway bar bushings gives through the life of the vehicle.
As for the Trans and engine mounts, ask your parts supplier how many of these
replacement parts he sells. Then ask for THE CURE from Energy
Suspension.Energy Suspension means
polyurethane parts, from body/cab mounts to spring shackle kits. From Ford C-bushings, in
different degrees, to Honda transmission shifter stabilizer bushing set. The new HYPERFLEX
System gives you just about everthing made for a specific application in one kit. |
